1. Paint effects

Rag rolling, stencilling and sponge finish paint effects, made popular on shows such as Changing Rooms in the nineties, topped the list of modern bad design. Time to get the paintbrush out again…

    i think everyone paints their houses how they want these days. theres no look thats either in fashion or out. There are so many different types of house anyway and such a wide range of genres and eras that its cool to just be individual and do what inspires you. the only thing that makes me cringe these days are those stick on borders you used to get and peach walls.

    I think we should all paint our houses exactly as they say on TV or have them reposessed. We have no right to have our own ideas. We should be very careful not to upset Carol Smiley etc.

    Those paint effects were only dreamt up by people with too much time, too much imagination and much to much of other people's money to waste.
