    to suzanne from newcastle,depending on how deep the pattern is, for very heavy artex id scrape of the peaks cover with a pva glue mixed 50/50 with water when tacky apply a thin coat of thistle bonding coat when dry skim smooth.if the artex isnt to heavy on then you can avoid using the bonding. :)

    If you are a lazy person with a damp tea-towel, and you would like a drier tea-towel, shove it in the microwave until it starts to steam, then take it out and wave it about a bit.

    (not expensive tea-towels)

    Avoid embarressing odours from drains by fitting a waste disposal unit. I forgot to and I'm still paying for it.
