5 YEARS OF IT,AND NO COUNCIL OR POLICE HELP BECAUSE NO LAW IN PLACE UP TO 2002 WHEN IT WAS GOING on. THERE WAS ARRESTS AND PROBLEMS DEALT WITH IN STREET WHEN OUT OF THEIR HOUSE,BUT NOTHING EVER SOLVED on THE MIDNIGHT TO 5AM PARTYING 7DAYS A WEEK. THE AUTHORITIES SHOULD BE ASHAMED AT TIMES,WHEN YOU HEAR THE BACK SLAPPING THEY ALLOW EACH OTHER ABOUT HOW WELL THEY KEEP LAW AND PUBLIC ORDER AND ASBOS ETC,, IT MEANS NOTHING TO THE MORonS WHO THINK OWNING ANYTHING LOUD ALLOWS THEM TO PLAY IT AT THE TOP VOLUME WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT.THERE ARE TOO MANY INTELLIGENTLY CHALLENGED PEOPLE IN THIS uk NOW,AND BECAUSE LIFE IS OH SO EASY COMPARED TO 50YEARS AGO,AND EVERYBODY HAS THEIR RIGHTS,AND MORE SO THE PERPETRATORS,THEN NEIGHBOURS FROM HELL SEEM TO BE THE NORM

i got a bedsit through my council 3 half & a years ago. The guy next door in the joining council bedsit i found out was previously housed in a hostal type place for the homeless. I'd say he was in his late 40's. He had council points and moved in just before me. There was no noise whatsoever for the first month or so, but when i saw him take a tv out of a mates car, i thought this might lead to something bad. I of course had to go to work at the usual office hours, but he was at home sponging. It got to the stage where he was up all night watching tv. I could hear it clearly and wrote a letter stating i could hear his tv at night etc. Over the next 3 years he would shout a load of rubbish, keep playing his tv all through the night, and even play music loud from 12am till 8am while shouting and swearing. I wore ear plugs but they didn't shut out his noise. I told the council and they called him in, but he denied he was doing anything wrong. But still the noise happened after a few months. Aggressive shouting about his crap life, talking a load of rubbish, even during the day while i was off work on a break. So i had had enough. My health was effected mind wise and i had to moved back home earlier this year at 31. He's still there i'm sure. If i see him out then i might lay him out. I'm not like that at all generally, but this guy needs a rude awakening for what he put me through. i did damage his property, but that was just something then. I seek much more still...

Victm of Manchester. I have suffered from neighbours dogs and I empathise, nothing is worse than the constant irritating barking of a neighbour's dog, especially if they are at home and leave their dog barking, or go out and leave them barking.

I think it is despicable, when we dread the summer school holidays, the fine weather and lighter evenings - for having to put up with the anti social behaviour of other peoples' children, often unsupervised to wander around causing damage and nuisance to other people and their property. We are happy when it rains, because the children are kept in - what a way to live. i tackled two 8 years olds breaking glass bottles in the street, they walked off, then came back 30 minutes later to do the same thing. Underage kids on noisy motorbikes, untaxed etc riding round at all hours on the pavement, these little nuisance children are the ones up to mischief elsewhere in the area and asbos dont seem to stop them. Some of them dont go to school and seem to be out doing what they like, whilst the rest of us have to put up with it. I have tried to talking to their parent, and that was pointless, she admitted she couldnt do a thing with him.
