my son doesnt read, and has never liked drawing or painting, so i really did struggle. we sometimes arranged to meet other mums at the local park for the afternoon, and had a picnic, that way the kids were ammused with all there mates, some took there bikes, and it gave the mums a chance to chill out to
kd, i only have one son, that made it harder as he had no one to play with, he is older now so i am past that stage. try sleepovers, a tent in the garden will always amuse them, unfortunately not for long though.if I think of anything i will let you know. how come it is 7 weeks, here it is only about 5 this year.
i have no relatives and am getting divorced. he isnt having kids at moment. just wondered if anyone has any ideas as to who i can get to look after the kids now and again to get a break, say one weekend in four?
Hello Fiona
You are some woman more like super woman with 3 children. I have been busy all day today I am disabled have to use a wheelchair to get about. No children and single have not found the right lady yet. Got to go out tomorrow Tuesday in the day time so will be on here about 10pm if your around maybe we can have a chat. Going to bed now as got to ring my brother at 7am to get him up. Take care precious
Love Rogerxxxx
Hi Roger. Just finished getting the kids to bed and got all the housework done. re. women bishops, yeah, why not? us girls can take on most roles cos were good at multi-tasking (something to do with being right-brained, I think) I can watch Eastenders, help my eldest with her homework, feed the baby whilst simaltaneously stopping my toddler from crayoning on the sofa. You know what I'm talking about, Maddie! sometimes though I think feminism has been taken too far. Women are expected to 'have it all'. run the home, bring up kids, forge a career, and stick a brush up their bum and sweep the floor as they go!
Dont know if any of you saw 'The Wright Stuff' this morning. Matthew "I'm so smug" Wright had the gall to suggest that stay at home mums are lazy. Like, we should be so lucky. Reckon he says these things just to wind people up half the time. Devil's advocate or whatever it's called. Anyway, would be interested to know what others think. I do like this board, it's nice to have adult debate after wall to wall Cbeebies all day! x
