Can anyone give me tips on how to calm a 6 yr old girl who has been having severe temper tantrums since she was 2yrs. She can be calm and then with little or no reason will start screaming, throwing herself on the floor and kicking out and all for things as simple as being asked to get dressed, or not being able to find a shoe or being looked at (apparently the wrong way)????? Ive tried the normal things like giving time out and taking privaleges away (no chocolate/crisps), I've tried talking to her calmly, ignoring her, sticker charts etc but nothing is working - does anyone have any other ideas????
Why
My 2 1/2 year old was a premature baby and wasn't held for a week when born she is constantly after my attention, sometimes scratches me to get it! has anyone experienced this attention with a prem.

Potty training age varies, start trying at around 18-24 months and you will know if they are ready, if they are not then just keep trying til they are. leave thier nappy off indoors and show them the potty, every time they wet themselves sit them on the potty so they know what they are supposed to do. It makes them aware of when they need to go, you cant sucessfully potty train until your child recognises the feeling of needing the loo. Some children are older than others when this happens, as long as they are potty trained before they are 3 then I dont think there is a 'right age'. Every child is different.
Hope that helps!!
What age should we start potty training?
