A new test available on the Internet allows parents to tell the sex of their baby at just six weeks old, as apposed to the previous 20 weeks. Would you want to know the sex of your child at such an early age? Is this a good idea?
yes I would like to know the sex of my baby. o I can talk to it by its name, prepare. Its exciting.
I would like to know the sex, although my local hospital won't tell me, there are signs up saying please do not ask as we will not tell you! Whats that all about, its my baby!!
When I was pregnant I was curious to know whether I was carrying a boy or a girl, and had I been offered the opportunity to find out I may have accepted it at the 24 week scan; but actually I'm really glad I didn't find out until he was born, because somehow it made him all the more special!
What concerns me more than anything is that many women miscarry around 8-12 weeks. The causes are usually unknown and unavoidable. To know so much about the baby could be of benefit in the grieving process, but could also make it so much worse. We know too much too soon.
I think it is wrong to find out so early as there are so many people who want to have a certain sex baby and to find out so early will increase abortion rates by loads, I think 20 weeks is early enough I have 4 kids 3 girls and 1 boy i dint have the option of finding out with any of them which didnt really bother me too muchas long as they were healthy thats all that matters
