A new test available on the Internet allows parents to tell the sex of their baby at just six weeks old, as apposed to the previous 20 weeks. Would you want to know the sex of your child at such an early age? Is this a good idea?
5 years ago i had a miscarriage before i knew the sex of my baby and still now i wish i knew, 6 weeks sounds early but no one makes you take the test !!
I have a boy and a girl but didn't find out with either of them. I loved the mystery of not knowing and it didn't stop me from bonding with them one bit. I think that finding out is OK but knowing too early would increase the risk of termination due to not having the sex they wanted, if this happens in only one case then that is once too many in my estimation.
I think 6weeks pregnant is far to early to find out the sex of your baby, for starters miscarriage is still a high risk, not only the fact that there are people that may already have a couple of children the same sex and really want an opposite sex child, some of these would maybe consider having a terminaton. A baby is a blessing wether boy or girl, i have three and had a sence with all about their sex i was right every time and it was wonderful after a painful labour to have the joy of the finding out i was right.
I ALWAYS HUNTED DOWN MY XMAS PRESSIES BEFORE XMAS! I JUST .THE HOSPITAL WOULDN'T TELL ME WITH MY SON,I FOUND OUT WITH ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS BUT THEY TELL ME WITH THE THIRD.IT HELPS ME PREPARE IF I KNOW.
I would love to know the sex of my baby. I am 17weeks pregnant with my second and would really like a girl. i asked my midwife if i was allowed to find out but they said no when i asked why they said it was because of the asian community. I think that if they dont like to find out the sex of their child then fair enough but why should everyone else suffer because of it.
