Parents now able to predict sex of child at six weeks

A new test available on the Internet allows parents to tell the sex of their baby at just six weeks old, as apposed to the previous 20 weeks. Would you want to know the sex of your child at such an early age? Is this a good idea?

I am currently 40 weeks pregnant 2 days overdue with my second child and I haven't found out the sex. As long as it's healthy it doesn't matter. It a nice surprise at the end of it all and at least you have something to tell people.

I have twins and a 6 yearold boy.

I wanted to know the sex so I could stop when i got pregnant with a girl. I now have two boys and a girl and that completes the family. It did'nt spoil my surprise as I just wanted to know if they were healhy and they all were.

No more than I would want to know what all my Christmas presents were before opening them - it is a daft thing....half of life's pleasures can be borne of surprises..why kill that excitement and anticipation with science just because we can? I was at the birth of both my lads and it was a brilliant experience with all the surprise and wonderment that birth entails.
