A new test available on the Internet allows parents to tell the sex of their baby at just six weeks old, as apposed to the previous 20 weeks. Would you want to know the sex of your child at such an early age? Is this a good idea?
it really doesn't mean i thing to me as to whether it's a boy or a girl, i was lucky enough to have one of each. i did however have a test done to see whether the baby had any genetic illnesses because i like to know big things like that. they were also able to tell the gender but i said no to finding out.
parents shouldn't be able to find out the gender at six weeks otherwise some might have a termination!!!
I kept the sex of my first child a surprise. Didn't want to know at all. Convinced myself it was a boy, was wrong, but the fact I had had a daughter, was a huge thing to get my head around. Took around a week really for it to sink in, and for my head to adjust.
2nd, 3rd and 4th times we found out. Was much, much better that way. I felt like I knew my babies so much better at birth, and of course from a planning point of view, when money becomes tighter after number one, it does make things easier.
The miracle and surprise of birth/delivery surrounding my last three births was CERTAINLY no less, far, far from it. You don't know what they will look like, how big they will be, whether they will have a head of hair or not, if they will very closely resemble their siblings.
Definitely, knowing beforehand was better for me.
I only found out because at my 20 week scan (5weeks ago) the little sod had his legs open displaying everything and we decided to ask the ultra-sonographer whether we was correct in saying we are having a little boy. Though if his legs had been shut we would of waited until the birth as myself and my unborn son's dad (whom is my Fiance) don't care which sex the baby is as long as the little mite can smile and grab our baby fingers.
i would have to know
wish to know
