   Whenever we had older male visitors from my husband's side of the family, I was made to go upstairs in my own house to feed our son. You would have thought I had an infectious disease. Would they have preferred my son to catch thrush etc from bottlefeeding? Breastfeeding is cheaper, contains a natural sedative, is instant and you don't have to worry about the side effects from badly sterilised bottles. Our son was nearly 3 before he caught his first cold and slept through the night from 2 days old. Breast is DEFINITELY best.

   There is nothing offensive or disgusting about a mother feeding her baby. It can be done discreetly and often people would not know she was feeding her baby. How can something so natural be wrong!
