Supernanny Jo Frost, queen of routine Gina Ford, earth mother Sheila Kitzinger - there are so many parenting experts and theories these days that it's hard to choose the right one.
But do we really need to be told how to raise our kids by others, some of whom have never had their own. Should we be left to "get on with it"? Or do expert advice and programmes make for well-behaved and happy kids? Have your say.
i dont think we should have to listen to experts,i mean look where its got us!When i was a kid we didnt have what thay call 'COOL' parents we had parents that disaplined us,adults were people we respected,we listened to them or else!!weather it be teachers, police, parents.now days theres not many adults that kids a afraid of,thay have no respect for adults&thay no thay can walk all over us¬ alot will be done about it,there is no boundaries any more
WHY not employ the same tactics as China 1 child only, anyone with more send them packing, don't give them benefits or better still if you haven't got a licence you cant have 1 works for TVs
It is always useful to listen to the experts, but our children are individuals and our children may not fall into the text book catagories often refered to by experts. The real experts are the parents who do need support sometimes, my experience with my children and schooling has shown me that many teachers have not had experience of their own kids being bullied and so do not really understand the problems or how to cure the problems and so many bullying issues at school are not really taken seriously enough. I think that this is the experience of many parents and has a terrible effect on our children. all parents should be aware that their children can also be bullies especially in a school enviroment. We all to readily back up our own children when they could be the ones causing the pain. Our children do not necessarily hold our views when they are at school, and they need to learn to always do the right responsible things. Just like I hope we all do.
do we need to be told how to raise our kids? apparently so, they are like little animals nowadays.
The trouble is more children are having children, that's where the problem is.....
