According to research, less than one in a hundred mothers take the advice to breastfeed their child exclusively for the first six months. Do you breastfeed your child? How long did you feed your baby with breast milk before opting for the bottle? What are your reasons for your choices?

I breast fed my son for 8 months. I stopped because I could not meet his demands, 5 feeds a night was exhausting! he took to the bottle easily so I feel that he also wanted to stop. I feel that I have given him the best possible start in life and am proud that I did not give in to the advice of mis-informed relatives.
fed my son for 9 months until he started crawling off over my shoulder and my daughter for 15 months. I couldn't face making and sterilising bottles! But it's a personal choice and no mother should feel pressured either way
Breast feed my baby until I had to stop as was going in to hospital for major surgery, little one is 9 months old now and is as fit as a fiddle, no chest problems or ear infections, both my other 2 who were bottle fed were always unwell!!!
My sister-in-law told me I would have to switch to a bottle at some point and I said why should I? Making that committment early on was the best thing and I never made formula ever with 2 sons. I'm so glad SHE was wrong and I was right!
forgot the yes bit x see they sucked out all my brain cells aswell the greedy buggers!! bless em. i would love to have more but he had the snip sensible man!
