According to research, less than one in a hundred mothers take the advice to breastfeed their child exclusively for the first six months. Do you breastfeed your child? How long did you feed your baby with breast milk before opting for the bottle? What are your reasons for your choices?

I have been breast feeding since my son was born. He is now 3 months old. Yesm in the start it was hard, seeing the milk took so long to come in, once it did it was ok. The pain on the other hand of sore nipples is a disadvantage but that does pass too. I am a bit scared of the teeth coming. I intend to feed until I have to stop, which is when I return to work. Which is probably when he is around 8 months old. I will still continue to breast feed a little.
I find it easy, no sterilising, no getting bottle in the night. Also you dont have to take bottles everywhere you go. It is convenient in many ways. Above all it is good for your baby.
YES and I do it in public, just to p*** people off.
Breast feeding is convenient, cheap, quick and easy, and provides comfort to your baby.
Formula milk is expensive, and sterilising and preparing takes planning and time.
I think you're all fantastic!
I'm still breastfeeding my daughter who is 8 1/2 months old. I started weaning her in the last month and i offer water aswell. Sorry to ask for info but how do you all cope when you're babies begin to use their teeth? I don't want to give up breast feeding but sometimes my daughter leaves me so sore! I know it's not her fault and that she doesn't understand. She has 5 teeth already now.
If any of you wouldn't mind leaving some advice for me i would really appreciate it thanks xx
I breast fed my 4 boys, however, I could not satify the demand of my eldest so when he was about 12 week I did start to subsitute one feed with a bottle and finished feeding at about 12mths. My second was fed until 12mths, my third 18mths and my forth 18mths.
I must admit I was lazy, I could not be bothered sterilizing and mixing bottle, why bother it's on tap!
