According to research, less than one in a hundred mothers take the advice to breastfeed their child exclusively for the first six months. Do you breastfeed your child? How long did you feed your baby with breast milk before opting for the bottle? What are your reasons for your choices?

Wasn't for me and you shouldn't be forced to do something you don't want to do because of the Breast is Best Bully Brigade. Women should be allowed to chose the right option for them.
Not currently, but I exclusively breastfed both my daughters - the elder till she was 17 months and the younger till she was 3. Both are very healthy children and I would do it all again if I was to have my time over. Some people may be disgusted at the thought of breastfeeding a 3 year old, but she wanted to, I didn't mind - so why not? Anyone else who is considering stopping because of pressure from others - my advice is - don't. It's your choice!
my son is 4 months old and i am sadly having to wean him off me as i am due back at work soon. I feel alittle heartbroken as i love the intamcy we share during his feeds. He is also taking a bottle of formula 3 x daily. Breastfeeding is the best gold top you can get but i do feel that women should be able to decide for themselves as to whether to breast feed or not and not to be made to feel guilty for not doing it, as one midwife did to a friend of mine! hardly professional hey!!
I am still breast feeding my 1st daughter who is 18 month's old,she show's no sign of wanting to stop and i don't want to say no to her when in my hrart i know it's best for her,i was glad to hear that i wasn't the only one and i agree that more toddler's should be seen to be breast feeding so that it isn't still looked at as being unusual.thank's helene
I have fed all three of my children with varying degrees of success, my last on is two and a half and wont stop even now!
