3. Grand Theft Auto IV (360/PS3/PC)

The biggest entertainment launch in history (including movies and music) but now that the hype is over was it really the best game of the year? Almost. Possibly. Some insist that the earlier games are more fun but nothing can touch this in terms of atmosphere, action and spot-on satire.

    Good game but over-hyped. Graphics are beautiful and story is good but it feels like it lacks the freedom and openess of San Andreas.

    i was dissapointed that there were no police or fire / ambulance missions, or that there were more buildings to go into... but hey... get into that gameplay - wow - it's almost like you are really there - and the cars handle superb - and crash like real cars. GREAT!!
