I don't think video games are art lets face reality they just ruin peoples minds and I belive that many of them are responsible for the way that people act 2day.
I hate it when people blame video games for the way others are in society. I have 5 kids dont really get to go out much and video games are my way of unwinding. I am a good mum and I know this because people comment all the time on how my kids behave and how they are a credit to me.
I play my 360 nearly every night and never has it lead me to behave in an unsociable manner.
If people are acting in a nasty way its not because they just played a violent game its because they are idiots.

They are POP art, same as iconic images from TV and film are art. Pac Man, Sonic and even Doom are art in the same way Taxi Driver or The Catcher in The Rye are art. Cultural icons maybe but in time they become art.
