This is one of the best games i have ever played. The game has been really well put together and there is so much to do and see.The world itself is huge and so should provide months of play and the graphics are and gameplay stunning. Recommended to all players whether your a veteran MMO player or just a beginner.
Played the beta and enjoyed the every moment I played, have come across from EQ2 so was pleased to see it wasn't as childlike as WOW and had complimented its gameplay and crafting styles so as not to be very basic and simple which was my personal grip with WOW. The lands are visually stunning and being able to run around the Shire was fantastic. I have already pre-ordered and will be taking advantage of the founders package of paying £99.00 for lifetime subscription. This game is going to be very popular.
Playing the beta - but can't see what's so special about it. Whilst graphics are nice, they are particularly stunning and the panels/text is a bit in your face (I'm not blind so I don't need such a huge font size). Fairly simple tasks to complete - no real great need to be able to deal with puzzles as the quests are quite simple so this should appeal to many who many not have too great a skill at logical thinking.
Already playing WoW, Guild Wars, City of Heroes, but I still think it's worth a play, just because I've been such a long standing LOTR fan, so will probably pay the £99 so there aren't any further subscription charges.
As with all MMO's, it would be great if you could put a mental age limit on who could play it - the lollers and trolls (not the NPCs) are already on there. Will be interesting to see how the RP will be managed and enforced on the RP servers.
Im currently a wow player nd while i think it is a good game i think that LOTRO is gona b something special!! I got the preorder so roll on SATURDAY!!! YEY
