microsoft have a foot on every platform but I think there's loads of variety and content out there. some older games are real classics that you never tire of but microsoft seem to master the repetitive genre where there are lots of baddies of the same thing that you have to shoot in different levels or something.

I just played star wolves which I got in some shop or something and it was a lot like eve online with characters that you can develop with a skill tree and mercenary missions and stuff like that, and the best thing, alternative endings based on the choices you made. I enjoyed it a lot, was very entertaining, but I hated eve which was again just repetition on a grand scale.

Getting all nostaligic for Voyager:Elite force and quake II multiplayer for me those two are really the greats. The best the thing about the quake engine games is firing grenades around corners and they don't see it coming and can't run away fast enough.
I agree with you pointing out that microsoft prity much rule the overall advantage price, content, depth. Like you say about everything is done through Microsoft but ,with no disrespect, because of lack of competion for Microsoft I forever "may" make a mistake of being extremely cautious to trusting them. Still I feel for the legallity of copyrights and the amount of frightening terms and conditions we all agree to is "Flawed" as far as fairness is concerned. Things like viruses, spyware, robot arm etc are all living proof that the internet should not be payed for until it is completely safe to use and impossible for people to infringe copyright intentionally or not. Maybe, within windows enternity of options one to stop everything and just to ask a question about where a file came from or even just to stop a program and explain why. That was a deterent for me in deciding on a pc over a console as far as games are concerned.
Yep,once a sole console player(and I had nearly all of them since the Mega Drive in 1992), I now own a pc and have benn playin games and upgrading and taking care of her for ablmost 4 years . I recently bought as 360 and while there are a few annoying exclusives that I wish Microsoft would put on the PC (same with Sony's Metal Gear Solid, what on earth happened to the PC port of that eh?) I can quite honestly say that as far as customisabilty and user-created content/online go, the PC's the daddy, no questions asked, more expensive or not, your gettin more longevity and more pleasure from that extra cash than the price of all the consoles I've ever bought put together(and thats a alot of ell you). only ironic thing about it is trhat Microsoft owns Windows, the primary OS for gaming on the PC, yet it's still tryin to flog you the Xbox 360, strange but hey wierder things have happened in the world.
Cheers
obviously PC is better, things like world of warcraft are so addictive and you can play them all day theres nothing like that on consoles maybe they should.....
i love my pc think games are so wicked on pc i dont have a great machine but i can run Unreal Tournement 3 and Oblivion so i have a fair scopeof games to choose from but i will havr to upgrade soon which can be a annoying thing, but it isnt as expesive to get a machine to handle games on a decent setting as you think you can pick up a 2 gig of memory, dual core processor, decent graphics card and mother board and hard drive for not that much over 300 which only leaves your cooling cheap case, cd rom and wire which will not set you back hardly anything, this would be a lot of money but when you consider the price of games console these days a pc is more diverse. you have a multimedia centre really, the pc is also if you spend the money on one untouchable by the consoles out now, there is more choice of games, you can play it with a controller or moure and keyboard, massive storage capacity, which all you sony fans will be moaning about if the current trend of loading most of the game onto the small hardrive space you have, but pc is is great but the console are still kool
