Pc's were not my thing not even consoles if i wanted one of them i was never allowed one first real tast of pc gaming my partner went to work and as i was at home with the baby he showed me how to play Diablo, that was it we ended up having to get 2 pc's as he did not get a look in. then to legend of mir. but the hacking got to bad and now we have both played wow (world of warcraft) from just after its beta stage over its last 3 years its become the fastest on line thing, it is full of story game play grafix. chat and community. we totaly love it, our kids love it.they play too. we got them a game cube when they first came out and they played on there friends xbox but they wernt intrested say to them" kids you want to play on the pc" and they here like a rocket, so for us its PC FTW.
PCs offer more buttons to control factors of the game, the internet is all set up, but, and its a tiny but, the graphics vary
Consoles are great at what they do but are limited by hardware and in particular memory requirements for instance in GTA IV the game world had to be scaled back to fit on the XBOX360. The PC version is already an improved version with a more vibrant world with many more pedestrians and cars in the game world.
I totally disagree I have a single core athlon 4000+
With two gig or ram and with my Aging two year old ATI Radeon X1900xtx graphics card can play Crysis Warhead on max settings with max resolution with only a reduction in the setting of the anti Aliasing to improve frame rate. This was done with simple tweaks and over clocks and sure my pc is flat out but it’s no super computer.
So no you don’t need a super computer to play crisis
The only thing that keeps the console market alive - is THIS - Consoles have a unified architecture - i.e. they are ALL built the same way.. even those with slightly larger hard drives in them - the XBOX 360's all have the same chipset and the PS3s' ALL have the same hardware inside them... so it is very easy to churn out a game for a console as its going to work on ALL consoles its written for. PC's have a problem - a big problem - in the fact the hardware inside them is different from machine to machine and that the hardware is NEVER FULLY USED... not one game in PC history properly utilises the Hardware available - not a single one! Crysis is a joke and is sooo badly written that u need an AS400 mainframe to actually run it properly... The technology in PC's may wipe the floor with consoles, but, its never used and then the next upgfrade is available, and so on and so on.
If u like games then get a console - doesnt matter which they all have their own faults.. or if u like mucking about with graphics cards and chipsets and direct x 10 and Windows to get an extra 2frames per second out of your games then get a pc..
Simple realy
