Did you use Netscape Navigator in its heyday in the 1990s? Are you surprised that AOL is ditching it? Do you feel that Microsoft was guilty of unfair competition with Internet Explorer during the browser wars? Let us know.
lol you people make me laugh....
Erm it doesn't matter what browzer you use they are all as vulnrable to exploits as IE! and as for speeds all browzers run pretty much the same.
No such thing as a browzer that isint vulnrable to an exploit, in fact if anything IE is more up to date with definition protection than any other browzer.
so quit talking rubbish, you people haven't a clue!
I absolutely adored it. IE sucks!!!!
Been connected now for years and never used I.Explorer. Netscape was my choice...it was faster and did everything needed without compromising security to the extent that I.E. did. Plus it was less of a target anyway for all those pitifully sick, sad A********S out there who write malicious code. FIREFOX & THUNDERBIRD are now my choice.
I started out with Mosaic, and graduated to Netscape shortly after it was launched, and for my money it was far and away the best. I moved to IE (reluctantly) when AOL launched their first version post-takeover (which I believe was V6). As far as I am concerned, they out-Microsofted Microsoft; it was a buggy, gimmick-ridden piece of bloatware, and, boy, was it slow. AOL have only themselves to blame for wiping out one of the great icons of the web. P.S. I am am now a confirmed Firefox user.
Netscape was great in its time but it spoilt by AOL takeover.
Firefox now. Much better than IE.
