Is obesity contagious?

Is obesity contagious?

A recent study has concluded that obesity may be spreading socially through friends and family. Researchers claim that friends of obese people are 57% more likely to become obese themselves.

What do you think? Is it possible for obesity to spread in this way?

    People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions (i.e.health) and stop blaming it on everything around them. There's a 'condition' (excuse) for everything these days.

    Obese = lazy and greedy.

    Too much of the wrong food and not enough exercise is the main problem. The most exercise some people get is pushing the buttons on computer games and the like. Also the stopping of cookery lessons in schools hasn't helped. The only kitchen utensils some people can use is a tinopener and a microwave oven.Go back to basics and things could change. Also stop selling off all the playing fields. All the cash in the world isn't worth failing to keep healthy and at a healthy weight.
