Earth: planet in peril?

Earth: planet in peril?

Are you concerned about our future? Or has the environmental apocalyse been wildly exaggerated? Do you think it's down to the government to limit our damage to the world or should the individual be responsible? Are you doing your bit or don't you really care?

However it is caused! global warming is very real. Some scientists say

"reducing carbon emissions will reduce Greenhouse Gasses, therefore lowering the overall temperature of the planet", while other scientists say that "temperature is not driven by Co2, but rather the other way round" i.e that "After rise in temperature there then FOLLOWS a rise in Co2"

So let's face it, the truth is we just don't know.
So A.j.H Whilst you may be an engineer with vested interest in this, and you know many scientists, they are not all in agreement , you therefore CAN'T know either?
I do know However that the scientists that agree with the Co2 emissions thing seem to get more funding from the government for varicose other projects, and that a lot of people (like you're self make a lot of money out of it.

You don't need a scientific degree to see the way the planet is being utterly abused by everyone on it..most of us aren't even aware of the damage we do in everyday life..we have become so used to our throwaway society that we see no real harm in the things we do..a lot of us though know only too well and don't care..big business..governments..etc are all very well aware of the harm they do to everything and they keep going in the same destructive course with no interest or regard for the effects their stupidity will cause..a lot of countries are so determined to get on the industrial map they are willing to take any short cut to achieve it..India..China..two of the biggest culprits..fossil fuel power plants belching filth in the atomsphere..the only sure way to get change for the better is to impose laws that have to be followed internationally..none of this argueing about it..this isn't a negoiated deal anymore.it needs firm political will to stamp down hard on offenders..the criminal destruction of places like the rainforests can only be halted when there is no demand for the wood from the trees there for instance..it will take all of us to bring about change..not a handful of people shouting in the wilderness..this isn't a marketing exercise either..it's something we are going to have to face up to..sooner than later..this planet is a foul mess of our own making..it's up to all of us to clear it up..not for political gain or financial, but because it's right and we have no choice.
