Are you concerned about our future? Or has the environmental apocalyse been wildly exaggerated? Do you think it's down to the government to limit our damage to the world or should the individual be responsible? Are you doing your bit or don't you really care?

When I say "vested interest" I'm not saying you make HUGE amounts of money, I'm saying you make a living, i.e you have a job, and a very good job I might add, I have insulated my home, fitted new double glazed units, NOT to help lower my "carbon footprint" but to save ME money. How can you expect anyone to believe what our Government, or the Yanks, tell us, when they've more or less admitted to lying to us in the past. As I've said many scientists don't believe that Co2 drives temperature.
Anyhow Why should we try and save the planet? this carbon this global warming thing was happening long before we we're born, and we won't be here to see the end anyway. If you could earn more in you're old job, then I would suggest you go back to it, make you're money and enjoy you're life, thats what I'm doing As far as I'm concerned, this planet didn't exist before I was born, and I'm not bothered what happens to it after I'm dead, I wish they'd just let us get on with our lives.

The answer to that is diffusion. If you take the top off a smelly thing like hydrogen sulphide solution everyone in the room gets to smell it quickly. The molecules in the air are actually jostling and banging around pretty vigorously, so any particular molecule will get moved around no matter how heavy it is. Putting a gas like CO2 in a balloon will mean that it will sink, but let out of the balloon, the molecules will mix and move around.
The fact that CO2 is heavier than air does mean that it will collect in pits and cellars so absailing down into a well is dangerous, but in the open air with wind and weather CO2 just mixes.
the other thing to know about C02 is that it absorbs infrared heat and thats part of the light spectrum of sun light.
Hope this helps
What baffles me is that my school science teacher told us that we cannot use co2 in passenger carrying balloons because it is heavier than air and would sink to the ground. If he was correct how is it in the atmosphere contributing to climate change instead of down here suffocating us all.?

I work for people who want renewable energy equipment installed or repaired and I’m paid for it, this vested interest rubbish is just sour grapes, you work you get paid for it.
If I returned to my previous career as an electronics engineer I could earn 3 or 4 times what I do now.
I work in this sector because I believe it's important, so do all the people I know in this sector, I have never met one who does it for the money or is wealthy, that’s just a myth, nearly all of us had to work as volunteers at one time or another we do it because we care.
I spend two day installing a PV array, switch it on the dials power up and with no noise, no moving parts we get electricity and I know that will continue to be the case fore more than 20 years, with no pollution what so ever, that’s the most satisfying work I have ever done in my life, the dedicated people or organisation that want this technology feel the same way as me.
You want to believe in some sort of conspiracy, well that’s up to you.
There are many internationally renowned organisation that support climate change science and many un-know bodies saying they don’t but I have yet to find a reputable organisation that agrees with them, or a government for that matter.
Co2 traps heat from the sun, rather like clouds hold heat in at night, that is clear sky at night heat escapes, cloudy sky at night heat is trapped and we get a warmer night.
What are you scared of that you are so prepared to believe in this conspiracy rubbish?
