   NO...because we are putting time and money into biofuels. we now know that algae is around 20 times more productive at growing and producing bio-oil than the earlier bio-fuel plants. We now have the technology to reduce our carbon emissions from coal fired power stations by around 90%. Solar power is becoming more efficient by the year and wave and tidal power is becoming innovative and dynamic (truly an entrapreneurs field). We as a planet, now recycle more than ever before as well as things we never would have looked at processing to re-use as a resource. In saying that, I still do not believe that we are ready for nuclear fision( uranium-long half life and plutonium-very very long half life ). I believe that in a decade this will be a very differenty world?

   It's always the same about any subject in this country upsetting people of shortages so as an excuse to put up prices. Why don't the Government get things things sorted out one way or another about energy, Coal which is a dirty word for some, Atomic Power which is a dirty word for others.Windmills, Sea power. Solar energy,Ride your bike energy whatever.
   But Brown & Co fight shy to invest or organise trying to get any one else even foreign firms , France, Germany to get into our country and are being ripped off. Carbon foot print what !!!! Trees live on it Co2

   We have extesive ammounts of methane gas in landfill and ex coal mines this gas should be exploited as it can be used in power stations to generate electricity and boiler rooms to heat homes and hospitals ect and can be used for cooking. it also can be liquidized for use in motor vehicles there is in excess of over 300 years worth of this stuff and Governments should be shiftinting to use this
