Will the Bali climate summit achieve anything?

Will the Bali climate summit achieve anything?

Talks in Bali between countries from all over the world have been struggling to agree on a plan to cut emissions, with the US reportedly unhappy signing up to strict targets. Do you think the summit will achieve anything positive? Does the attitude of the US make you angry? Or are the talks a pointless exercise in the fight against global warming?

why is anyone surprised at the US reaction?

they are incapable of thinking in anything other than dollars.

they only have 2 ways of dealing with anything - buy it or bomb it.

TIME TO STOP ALL OF OUR DESTRUCTIVE WAYS. IT HAS BEEN KNOWN FOR DECADES HOW SERIOUS THIS ISSUE IS, AND IT IS onLY IN THE LAST YEAR THAT IT HAS FRIGHTEND THE POWERFUL countRIES. AMERICA ALWAYS BEHAVES LIKE A SPOILED BRAT, NEVER LIKES TO BE TOLD WHAT TO DO, BUT LOVES TELL OTHERS. FEEL SORRY FOR THEM, THEY ARE on A onE WAY TICKET, AS WE ALL ARE; 100% OR THIS PLANET WILL END UP LOOKING LIKE MARS.

Thanks, Bert from Brum. This Global Warming smoke screen is turning into quite a gravy train to jump on....world summits here, there and everywhere which achieve nothing except gererating more pollution, hundreds of thousands of highly paid jobs created to service the myth and, of course, a Nobel prize to top the whole fiasco off!
