Will the Bali climate summit achieve anything?

Will the Bali climate summit achieve anything?

Talks in Bali between countries from all over the world have been struggling to agree on a plan to cut emissions, with the US reportedly unhappy signing up to strict targets. Do you think the summit will achieve anything positive? Does the attitude of the US make you angry? Or are the talks a pointless exercise in the fight against global warming?

    Judging from the past Summits.
It is all Hot Air and no Action.
But each country will bring in laws and extra Taxes pretending it down to cut Global Warming Emissions.
Its the same nonsense as expensive Organic Food. It a bloody rip off.
There has been many alteratives invented to run Cars. But the Oil Companies bought the Patents to stop them been used.
Finally the Scientists cant agree what is causing Global Warming.
The Earths Climate has been changing for Millons of years, even before the Combustion Engine was invented.
    It is a Natural Occurance.

Margaret from Essex I think there is a fatal flaw in your argument. You say the world is warming up because the Earths central core is "heating up and expanding" The centre of the Earth is solid iron if my memory serves me right from my days at school (admittedly many years ago). The mantle around the core is molten rock that occasionally exudes to the surface or sea bed (volcano’s and undersea vents) causing the tectonic plates to move apart slowly . These in turn force rock back down into the magma (causing earthquakes on occasions) where it becomes molten and the cycle continues. Your theory does not tie in with the facts as shown in the geological record.
Michael from Sunderland, I see you still have those dark glasses on still – cant see what’s in front of you – every thing has got to have a conspiracy driving it. As for your quote re the Pope saying don’t meddle unless you are 100% sure, that opinion certainly did the people of Europe a favour in the last war. If you are going to quote for goodness sake quote from sources that know something about the subject.

    1. Emissions, etc, etc, etc, is not causing the world to heat up.

    2. What is really happening is that the earth's core is heating up and expanding, that is why things are going wrong. The core is hotter than the sun so there must be something going on there.

The powers that be are not going to tell anyone, as there is too much money to be made in the Global Warming game.

There is no way our puny asses and cars and cows and the burnings are going to make any impact on the large world we live in in the vastness of the cosmos. No the trouble with the earth is at the core. So you pratt scientists LOOK AGAIN YOU BLOODY FOOLS

Open your eyes, we are all being hoodwinked, climate change, whats new about climate change, its a ongoing fenomena. It was warmer in the 1800s than now, 25years ago they forecast an ice age. Tax tax tax, control control control. That's what its all about. The Pope is right, dont meddle if you are not 100 p/c sure.

I doubt very much if the Bali agreement will solve much the Yanks and the Chinese will still carry on as before they are with out conscience and do not care about the climate
