Will the Bali climate summit achieve anything?

Talks in Bali between countries from all over the world have been struggling to agree on a plan to cut emissions, with the US reportedly unhappy signing up to strict targets. Do you think the summit will achieve anything positive? Does the attitude of the US make you angry? Or are the talks a pointless exercise in the fight against global warming?

What these talks will not do is to stop developing countries, with China and India to the fore, from burning fossil fuels in far greater quantities than the world does now. Hence they will not check increasing carbon dioxide emissions in the slightest.
What they will do is provide excuses for the control freaks to impose even more pointless and econmically damaging restrictions on our freedom in this country. By thus inexorably increasing the size of his client state, financed by us, Flash Gordon hopes to win and win again in future elections. And with the number of people on the state gravy train, with working conditions and pensions conceived in fantasy land, he could well be right.

The earth has been hotter in the recent past. We are just coming out of a 300 year mini ice age. Know the facts before you worry about climate change.

Detruction of forests is the real ecological disaster. Not global warming.

Wont make much difference sitting round a table drinking whatever they drink and being paid for it, it requires action because , the problem is already with us with the climate. Its in the “atmosphere”, and in the boardroom, and in the minds of people all round the world can see the problem but they don’t see it as a problem they are simply surviving and making money etc the best way they know how and others just shut their eyes to it. The problem is caused by population explosion and everything that goes with it and industrial/technological giants, all having its affect on the land and more specifically the destruction of the trees around the world which control the atmosphere using the condensation affect, this cools the earth and atmosphere as well as providing oxygen. The problem is staring people in the face (the face of GOD) but people don’t believe in GOD any more as being a viable way of thinking and living so it will just all get worse. The only thing any one will see if they survive will be the tops of mountains as they live and sail around in their boats trying to catch fish, so I hope you can swim and like fish. It’s not just a story in the Bible it’s a fact in our modern age as it was in the past involving the areas in INDonESIA and the earth’s volcanic undersea plates in SUMATRA region and other volcanoes around the world which will at some point in the future blow their tops in anger (god’s anger). Genesis reveals this in a the form of projection of what is to come, if the human race does not control itself and what it does to the earth and it all becomes central to the Tree which controls the "atmosphere" in a numerical, material, spiritual and metaphysical way in our everyday lives.
