Talks in Bali between countries from all over the world have been struggling to agree on a plan to cut emissions, with the US reportedly unhappy signing up to strict targets. Do you think the summit will achieve anything positive? Does the attitude of the US make you angry? Or are the talks a pointless exercise in the fight against global warming?
Britain is supposed to be setting the lead in this global warming thing, and where did Brown go? all that way to see our troops. Not that I mind our boys getting that sort of support as they are doing a great job, but I'm sure instead of Brown and his cronies adding more emmisions to the atmostphere someone like the spice girls would be better suited for a moral booster than boring Brown. As for the Yanks cutting emmisions forget it, their economy would suffer, but light up a poxy ciggie in front of them and your going to kill them, but they can pollute the air with what they chuck out of thier factories and we do bugg-- all.
Adie from Midlands says:
'What Summit? Sorry - is the USA, India, China and Russia there'
Yes.
IT WILL JUST GIVE GORDon SOME MORE IDEAS on WHAT HE COULD TAX NEXT.
To Weatherman
You are absolutely right about earth’s climate being subject to constant change. However what you seem to have conveniently missed is that the rates of change has increased at an unprecedented rate over the past 300 years; and most significantly in the past 80 -90 years, than at any other time in its history.
Humans are to blame and it must be down to us to do what is right, unfortunately as the major polluters think about their bank balance first the chances are their children and their children’s children will look back on this generation and curse them.
Mr Weather man from Earth. 15:14
You are right.
I have been saying this for years, its have been a natural cycle of the earth, we have have an ice age and so on. As the song goes. It want be rain but fire next time.
