The proposed Climate Change Bill is the first of its kind in any country and according to Environment Secretary David Miliband, Britain is "leading by example".
Much of the Bill focuses on domestic buildings which account for 25% of UK emissions as opposed to aviation which only accounts for 5%.
What do you think of the Bill? Does it go far enough? Should we provide annual rather than five-year targets?
2050 !!!! we will all be living on mars ......... or summink like dat

The great co2 emissions myth. I saw a program this week that looked at the planet Venus and it's atmosphere of mainly co2 and the fact that it's surface temperature is above 400 degrees centigrade. Scientists were saying that this could be the Earth if we don't cut our co2 emissions. What a load of poppycock. Venus is 2,500,000 miles closer to the sun. It is this that has made it hotter not the co2 emissions. The fact that it is closer to the sun makes it release more and more co2 gasses and there are hundreds of active volcanoes on Venus. They are trying to scare us into believing that it is us that are effecting this planet. We do, but in a very small way. Scientists first blamed the Industrial Revolution being the start of global warming BUT in fact this planets temperature actually DROPPED during this period. We have been going hot and cold for thousands of years. This planet will sort it's self out.
The great carbon footprint con, the southsea bubble, whats the difference.
In an under developed country, don't drink the water - in a developed country, don't breathe the air.
