Is a target to cut carbon emissions by 60% by 2050 enough?

Is a target to cut carbon emissions by 60% by 2050 enough?

The proposed Climate Change Bill is the first of its kind in any country and according to Environment Secretary David Miliband, Britain is "leading by example".

Much of the Bill focuses on domestic buildings which account for 25% of UK emissions as opposed to aviation which only accounts for 5%.

What do you think of the Bill? Does it go far enough? Should we provide annual rather than five-year targets?

Was I the only one to see the program a few months ago about the Myth of Global Warming? Up until the 1980's most of the worlds ecological guru's agreed that global warming and cooling was caused by sun spots and massive solar flares. This was the basic principal in it's simplest form. The planet earth has been warming up and cooling down by any number of degrees for millions of years which of course has had nothing at all to do with the Industrial Age or any other age. Peoples opinions were changed in the 1980's by non other than the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher who needed to discredit the burning of fossil fuels and so verify the need to close down this countries coal mining industry. She paid top scientists to find a link between the burning of fossil fuels and global warming and all of a sudden all the known theories were thrown out of the window. There is a link between co2 emmisions and global warming but the opposite of what we are being told is true. It is the earths increase in temperature that is causing an increase in co2 not the other way round. Earth's temperature is controlled by the sun and always has been and always will be. When will the top scientists see this again, I think never. Come on somebody put on their thinking caps and lets see sense.

This is just the government introducing taxes under the guise of saving the environment.

It's a load of rubbish, It is NATURE, nothing will stop it. By the way can anyone tell me what caused the last ice age to melt? or the seas to dry up? It certainly can't be for the same reason that the so called experts are touting now, also has anybody asked all these experts what they base their finding on, as most of the scientific evidence seems to disagree with them.
