Does the universe have a purpose?

Are we cogs in a vast machine that performs some specific function? Is the universe the result of a random sequence of events or part of a grand scheme? What do YOU think?

hi i answer to the question yes, when humans are at the stage of evolution where we can live in harmony and peace for at least a few thousand years then i think our destiny is in ,travel to other planets.
to follow our true destiny as son's of god./

The universe has no purpose whatsoever. Why do people have to keep chuntering on about a purpose? Nature is and that is all there is to it.

universe is simple to work out .........to have nothing .......as in no universe ......you need something ...........they need each other
