Does the universe have a purpose?

Are we cogs in a vast machine that performs some specific function? Is the universe the result of a random sequence of events or part of a grand scheme? What do YOU think?

    Why does the Universe have to be justified by what we conceive of as a 'purpose'? Why does a journey have to have a 'destination'? Why does a process have to have an end 'product'? WHY??

    Yes! The universe has a purpose, but whether or not we will ever know what it is should be the real question.
