   I suppose I should have added somewhere that it is possible to SIMULATE time travel by moving faster than the speed of light - by doing this you would effectivelysee things that happened in the past. BUT as a body approaches the speed of light, it's density grows exponentially until it undergoes gravitational collapse and becomes a black hole BEFORE IT REACHES LIGHTSPEED!

   If time travel is possible and the discovery is made at any point in the future then we would know about it now - it may begin as a restricted technology but eventually it would become commonplace and everyone would be zipping about all over 4-dimensional space. So, logically, it can't be possible because we don't already know about it!
