   Of course it is barbaric and utterly pointless. Humans have overfished and we waste more fish which are killed in nets than we actually use. Seals do not make a significant difference to fish stocks. As for using seal fur, anyone who wears real fur in modern times when we have excellent fake fur available is a selfish unspeakable monster
