Should we scrap British Winter Time?

Should we scrap British Winter Time?

According to a new survey turning the clocks back each year causes Britain to use much more energy than would otherwise be needed, and vastly increases our costs and carbon emissions.
In light of this information do you think that the time has come for British Winter Time to be scrapped? Would you welcome an end to it, and would you prefer the extra hour of daylight in the evening? Have your say.

I can never understand why the Brits still cling to their old customs,British Summer Time,Brits do not like metric system, drive on the left,House of Lords, what are they for you have an elected democratic government why do you needs Lords, most of them are asleep when you see them on TV.you have an opposition party just like most European countries why Lords ?And why are Britain not using the Euro ?it will be the strongest currency one day yet i suppose the Brits will have to beg to change their currency just like they did when Genaral De Gaul kept them out of Europe, why are the Brits always last to conform. any answers please

Absolutely! darkness at 5pm is vile. Saying that a far north country, sorry I cannot remember which, has 6 months complete light and 6 months complete dark.

More people die due to dark nights, than would die due to dark mornings. FACT.
Why? You are far more awake in the morning than you are at night after work, after school etc.
Scrap Winter Time? YES, YES, YES

Scrap summer time. Stick to Zulu all year round everywhere. The supermarkets have wiped our farmers out now so they dont need to get an early start. Sod the city traders. Who else needs it
