Should we scrap British Winter Time?

According to a new survey turning the clocks back each year causes Britain to use much more energy than would otherwise be needed, and vastly increases our costs and carbon emissions.
In light of this information do you think that the time has come for British Winter Time to be scrapped? Would you welcome an end to it, and would you prefer the extra hour of daylight in the evening? Have your say.

Yes, British Winter Time should definitely be scrapped. These clock shifts were only started during world war 2 so that farmers etc could have more morning light and they wouldn't have to use lights thus avoid being bombed.
Now it's just depressing - dark all the time, even the during the day it's dull and miserable. In fact lets abolish winter completely and just have summer sunshine all year round, much better!
