    Forty or so years ago I recall sitting in the front row of my local cinema as 2001 washed over me. Didn't understand it then, not sure I do now, but to say it had an effect is understatement. Rest in peace Arthur.

    Haven't seen 2001 since I was a kid and didnt quite understand it all at the time. Recently seen on Blu Ray - awesome and increditble especialy since we didnt even know what the earth looked like from space at the time! Rest in Peace my friend.
