What do you think of Vista?

What do you think of Vista?

You are, of course, first in line to install Vista on your PC. Is it fun and easy to use, or another Microsoft product that falls short of the hype?

I have been using computers since the ZX spectrum. I have gone through new os after new os through the years and they have all had teething problems. Before this the best os was certainly windows98.
I bought a new custom built gaming PC last year and it came with vista ultimate installed on it.
Not had any major problems in the 12 months i have had it. I have had zero viruses (couldnt say that when i was running Xp SP2)and all of the software/games that i play such as CoD4, Lord of the Rings online, etc etc all play perfectly and using DX10.
No hardware problems, all of the drivers i needed were available and are constantly being updated to better versions.
Yes it makes Bill Gates more money and so will the next version.

From what I have heard and got from the web it is not too good. I still use XP. I know someone who builds P.C's as a hobby and he says the drivers needed for peripherals are very hard to get for Vista so he does not use it. Even now we are awaiting service pack three for XP so even that has not been sorted out yet. Vista still has a long way to go but even now they are developing the next version, simply being called , seven. All they are interested in is making even more millions out of us. Soon XP will be forgotten about and support withdrawn. How many more versions will there be???

    Remember Millenium?

    What I hear you cry.....
Exactly, trying to force people into upgrading and snooping on them is not a marketing stratergy.

Why is Microsoft quickly producing a successor... because Vista Sucks!

    Asta La Vista Baby!
