NASA has declared that it will launch and sustain human exploration of the Moon by 2018.
In light of Apollo 11's first moon landing in 1969, do you think the millions of pounds that would be spent should be put to better use, especially considering the huge carbon footprint it would leave? Or, do you think this is a good thing and that it should go ahead?
Are you one that thinks that the moon landing was a hoax, and that footage was made up? Have your say.
Earth is the crade of Mankind , are we going to stay in the cradle forever?
Ultimately, the Moon is a stepping stone to Mars and, given a mighty amount of will and several centuries, the Red Planet could, possibly, be made habitable via terraforming. It is fairly clear from reading some of the posts that people commenr on issues about which they haven't bothered to become reasonably informed. We always get idiots complaining about what space exploration costs - the Apolo programme cost less than was spent by American women over the same time period and it consitutesa fraction of what the Human Race spends on weaponry.
how about we consintrate on mars, weve all read ybeen there nasa. its a situation not needing to be delt with
no we should not go back to the moon as i live there. it is not a planet it is a person. she is called sam harris. the Craters in her are from where people get too horny to with hold.
Why bother if theres nothing there, what knowledge is to be gained about a dead dusty orb?
Try looking and spending money on planet earth for a change. All that space money could solve thousands of REAL problems on earth.
What a waste. The economy is falling apart yet NASA still have enough dough to visit the moon. What a joke.
India has just sent it's first ship to the moon, so if we do go there at least there'll be a shop open.
