A Nasa rover trawling Mars has sent back evidence that suggests the planet was once much warmer and wetter, and may even have supported life.
The findings are described as astonishing, but what do you think about our continued space exploration? When millions live in poverty, should we spend vast sums on space exploration? Do you think, given climate change, that the only way to secure mankind's future is to learn about other planets and conquer space travel? And is there really life out there or is Earth the universe's lucky fluke? Have your say.
we cant be alone in this vast universe. there must be life on other planets, but not as we know it,
there used to a good bar up there, once upon a time....
Does it really matter if there was once life on Mars? There isn't now. It is a dead, red, globe. We will never develop manned space exploration beyond the moon and sending the odd probe to Mars (which more than often crash on the surface). We are not bright enough. If we were, we would realise what a perfect planet this is. If there was intelligent life out there that could reach us, they would have taken one look at our lovely blue planet and visited already and most likely evicted us for being so stupid to spoil it.
i believe space exploration is fascinating, but not essential.
i believe our species will die out here on earth, and that that is how it should be.
i believe there's plenty of life out there, but dunno whether or not we will find it.
i believe we are not alone in the universe.
Is there life on earth?
