Judging from our latest bout of crazy weather, global warming can't be ignored. Can alternative solutions such as nuclear, solar, or burying CO2 deep in the ground help? Are you worried by the threat? What do you think we should do?

Biggest load of bollocks ever. The period of time we have measured is less than a pinprick in the ocean for the length of time the earth has been here, and has at times for millions of years at a time been covered in ice, or roasting hot and barren. All we have is as already been said just another tax scam and a way for the greenies who hate cars, always the car isn't it! to force their desires down our throats and get their agendas as government policy and take us back to the middle ages. I'm just finishing off converting my garden shed to a smithy and forge to shoe horses when we can't afford to run a car anymore.
Zero sunspots today . ( chilly weather continues )
It seems to have nothing to do with the tonnes of pollution we put into the air yesterday . More than 50 % of our weather is driven by the sun , scientists say . ( more sunspots = hotter weather )
The number of sunspots varies between zero and 200 , with a steady rise and fall in number over a 12 ( ish ) year period .
The current lack of sunspots for the last 3 months is unusually quite but not unprecedented . ( the next sun cycle is number 24 , and it will start , when its ready too ) Things will warm up for 6 years an the cool down for 6 years , as usual .( no change there then )
Still no sunspots , our local star is strangely quite , more cool temperatures then . Data from Spaceweather . com
